Having a time share, even a free one, is not free and ties you down. 

Consider maybe doing a HELOC instead if you're looking for other deals to buy - this will let you keep the house and the current very low interest rate compared to today's rates but also free up working capital to apply elsewhere.

@Jeff Fortuna@Dan Rowley I am getting 8.5 percent cash flow that is about 60 percent tax free from the mag syndication with a cap gain coming when they start selling properties.  

Like the security deposit this check can take months to get but hey, who’s complaining on free money.
