Snow yes - high grass and newspapers and mail piling up are other indicators - Now as an investors looking to capture some equity -- what do you need to do now?

Find old, but recent, newspaper articles, financial data for the township, housing prices, crime statistics, etc.

I made that deal directly with a seller-who found me in a $79 newspaper ad which I placed for 7 days.That ad produced a few more wholesale deals and people began taking me seriously in the business.  

However, the judgement/upset amount published in the sheriff's website is $853,000, and the judgement posted in the newspaper is higher at $990,000 - significantly higher than the open obligations I found.I've done a thorough job about checking the title at the county clerk's and statewide judgment database.What could I be missing here?  

Specifically I look for overgrown lawns, piked up newspapers, phone books, trash and obviuosly boarded properties.

I hit postlets, craigs list, the MLS, newspapers, meet up groups, REIA clubs, credit repair companies, I want to be pretty much anywhere that I might find a buyer. 

We have come across some bank owned properties that are being foreclosed in the classifieds of newspapers - most of which can be found through auction.com or hubzu.com.

I am looking to advertize/ market for investors in my area in local newspapers and websites.

By then it's likely they've already started working or at least thinking about a solution for the house.What I do now is cross reference the deceased in the probate estate (which I can get out of the newspaper or online) with Tax records (also online).
