Even if it didn't show on the credit report, you're claiming income (hopefully) from the owner financed property and I would assume the bank would ask if there is a mortgage attached to that property.

It's "Notice of lis pendens" and it basically means that there's been a lawsuit filed against the property usually when there's title dispute.As an investor, don't get emotionally attached to properties because it will end up costing you more money when you can't just walk away.

Regarding the contract... you'll need to obtain the mortgage payoff and should have a title search undertaken on the property to determine what, if any, liens other than the mortgage attached to the property.
