You can see Copacabana beach from this favela and it's spectacular.If I were you, I would look at property in Vidigal but higher up the hill, deep into the favela.

How deep will RE be hit?

I was just wondering before I dive deep into making this project if there isn't already something out there.

Recently,  numerous property listings I have walked in 5 points have either significant foundation issues or lots of standing water in the crawl space (one property we could not even get into the crawl space because of how deep the water was at the crawl space entrance!).  

I am watching the task force briefing today and saw Trump announce this. This is awesome as a landlord and as a tenant.  But what will the end affect be on the economy?

That said I am truly relieved to have just sold my STR and 1031ed them into long term.

Over the last 48 hrs, I took a deep dive into potentially investing/constructing storage units.

My property is 15’ wide by approximately 98’ deep.  

I agree mortgage rates are very attractive and getting a loan will relieve the cash on hand issue.
