After a bit more research, I actually think renting a place will get me started faster and earn some experience doing Airbnb with a little less risk involved.Obviously I still need to be concerned about not violating a lease agreement by doing so and I would likely live on the property and lot or all the time.Ownership is still the ultimate goal, but this looks a faster party to self driven income.

The local investors will need to know their local real estate and rental markets and depending on the infrastructure the investor has in place or is willing and able to build, that will dictate how much time and effort they would need to contribute.

Building a brand speaks to your personal and professional values which ultimately speaks to the guest who ends up using your space.

Look into areas with lower price points and solid rental demand this can allow you to start investing without the pressure of high local prices.Your brother’s contribution gives you financial flexibility, so use this time to find a property that fits your needs without rushing.

Though I have not personally contributed to these investments for tax credits, I have personally seen these investments in action and these investments can help provide more supply of housing and development that would otherwise not be there.

Just curious... what’s your ultimate goal for that office space..are you looking to boost resale value, or is it more about having a functional retreat above the garage?
