Putting an offer on a house in Virginia Beach and my buyers will likely be applying through United which is listed as the mortgage company.

It is definitely more on the urban units and less on beach / family units. 

Ocean City is the most popular beach town and is a 3hr drive from Washington D.C.

I know this is more of an investing forum, but I figured I'd reach out and see if members with an investing background would provide advice.We're preparing to purchase a vacation property in North Myrtle Beach.

We had a duplex on the beach in gulf shores.

I would love to hear what your experience has been and what advice you may have as I am looking to PCS to the Virginia Beach, VA area soon and am wondering if it's feasible or recommended to look into a building a MFR to househack. 

If we look back to 2004, 20 years ago, we had just survived the dotcom crash and we're starting into the early years of the Housing bubble.in 20 years, gen x will be well into retirement hitting their own Silver Psunami, if you will.
