I know a lawyer in Boulder who is specializing in the marijuana industry.

This is my first property in Las Vegas and I am still learning the peculiarities of this market, being an out of state investor.I have heard mixed feedback about renting to Section 8 tenants.  

We've had trouble with marijuana smokers getting stoned or flaking off on the job. 

While construction was going on the tenant continued to access the property, use marijuana on the premises and get the way of construction workers. 

"You can't legally tell me to stop smoking medical marijuana in my apartment .

When I Googled their names the first thing that comes up is an arrest for possession of Marijuana.  

We actually found a RE attorney who helped us our lease agreement and it was interesting to learn about the parts that are more specific to Portland (mold, mildew, etc....oh and now medical marijuana!)  

It seems like Chicago and Illinois is headed down this path - unless new revenues (like casinos, marijuana legalization), privatization and cuts (that won't cause folks in stable or gentrified, i.e. taxpaying areas to move) are found very quickly.

My personal guess is marijuana legalization, but also we just have a super amazing standard of living here.  

But, the last two times I’ve been in she’s said it’s a bag of marijuana I smell coupled with a few other marijuana non-smoking products.
