We happen to live in a strong market with a lot of momentum.

You have procedural momentum going, you're excited to close, and you instinctively take the bait. 

I'd imagine the profits on the first couple of flips will be weak and it will be tough to build enough momentum / capital to keep going.

I understand why an investor would pull out all of their equity to buy a larger property to generate momentum/wealth.

or3)  Something else.I'm getting all spun around the axle on this one and it's stopping my forward momentum.  

That's definitely a good way to gain some momentum in learning about the geographical area as well getting to know the community. 

This process takes longer to get momentum on the investment side. 

We're finally gaining momentum with work the house so we're expecting to be able to rent them come May (that will make one whole year of holding and renovations... not our finest but we're still learning).I'll definitely be giving Granite State Credit Union a call soon though to discuss the refi with them. 

As an example, if one investor is the 1st to commit, I credit them with giving me the momentum to pursue the deal.
