Here's a POSSIBLE, or even common, view of how it goes: 1) Launch: They gush about how appreciative they are that we revolutionized their business and life. 

We reinvested 100% of the profits for 10 years and never upgraded our lifestyle. 2)We self manage.

My focus is on providing either turnkey-style space for those interested in temporary, infrequent use or long-term leasing for business folks who require conference room space (or perhaps event space).  

My family has been in it all my life.

I mean she grew up in a RE family IE thats all I have done all my life.

There are really great REI opportunities in different markets - markets in the Midwest and Southeast of the country are particularly lucrative - where not only are the purchase prices reasonable for most RE investors, but the homes are turnkey (new builds or completely rehabbed homes, tenant ready, systems 10 years of life remaining on them, property management teams in place) with appreciating home value AND appreciating rent.

I know in Philadelphia if I had a 2 BR house it would be viewed favorably by tenants who are seeking 2 BR living situations because most inventory will be apartment style living and for this reason would achieve a rent premium.
