In high priced markets, I think you'd have more luck flipping, especially if they're active markets with good sales volume and appreciating prices.

So the barrier to entry is not as high as traditional investments.

If it's a high dollar home, then no more than $1,000.

Some folks are comfortable paying 10X, but you can find those deals all day long.Now, if it was a highly unique and rare property, I'm not as worried about the multiple. 

I don't see how rent point has to do with absorbing high insurance costs.

Real estate investing can be highly rewarding, but effective management is key to maximizing returns.

I'm actively looking for multi- family oppurtunities in MA but despite many offers  I am not having any luck with what seems like a highly competitive market.

What are other high net worth individuals paying in broker commissions these days, for high value properties?
