Since your place is already furnished you can test this out pretty easily by changing the minimum stay to 30 days.

Not as much money as Airbnb or STRs but less work than STRs and more money than LTRs, and as someone said, if you've already got it furnished, it's an easy transition.Also, anyone interested, might check out "Erin's Guide to Midterm Rentals."

I think it depends on the market.. they approached me on a furnished rental I had in Vegas (Summerlin gated community A class) We got basically double or a little more of the normal rent..

If you didn't, seems like a bad / inexperienced accountant to suggest such a thing.In my opinion, its the same as telling someone to go to a trade school and get a new career.A STR can help you lower your taxes but I would only do it if you were planning to purchase a STR.A STR is a business, you are responsible for furnishing the house, responding to guests, providing a great stay and experience, etc

Waylon- To have the largest buyer pool, my opinion is to price and market the home as furnishings or turnkey options are negotiable.Since this home is flexible in its use - let the market participants decide which option works best rather than defining it for them.

We are now renting as fully furnished mid term rental and really pleased with the success of that project.
