Family or no family your rental property is a business and you must decide whether to run a business or a charity.

However you can give home some or all the money back as an act of charity. 

This is a saying I see a lot on BP, "This is a business, not a charity". 

Unless this is a charity handout, proceed without a realtor assuming you know exactly what you are doing. 

If he's famous and has links to charities that he dontates , check out his profile on  press and articles on him to see what his needs are then offer to help in his needs.

Learn the law, start creating policies for common problems, and run it like a business, not a charity or a terrorist negotiation.

I don’t know what’s available in your area, I just signed up on a waiting list to build my own home in the area it’s charity sponsored and you put in a couple days a week helping build houses for a year and then one of the houses is yours.

Just start giving even bigger amounts to charity and move into an even more modest house.
