In addition, with the wave of big layoffs that have just been announced (11,000 at Meta, 10,000 at Amazon, 4000 at Twitter and a bunch of other companies not to mention a lot of layoffs in the construction industry and real estate agents/mortgage brokers needing a new job) if inflation has peaked, it's probably because we are in the early stages of a real recession (versus the technical recession of Q1-Q2 earlier this year).

Another integral thing to note here is that I work in Tech, and Tech is getting slaughtered currently with increasing layoffs & a grim macro-level forecast.

On the other hand, with there trend of increasing interest rates and the beginning of major companies beginning to layoff employees is spooking would be buyers thus causing less demand and lower housing prices.

One group will say it's necessary to do XYZ and that XYZ career is so amazing and flexible and high paying and so many jobs being added every year, then the next group says you can just get XYZ education and that the job has terrible pay and work life balance and they're doing a bunch of layoffs etc.

I think the only thing that will really impact the market here is more tech layoffs, which could still happen.My prediction: in about a month or two, they'll say we just emerged from a recession that was never declared.
