Yeah, I just did a loan for an investor in the North Tahoe area and the insurance was wild, a lot of that is only going to qualify for Cal FAIR unfortunately due to wildfire risk. 

It's possible but going to be expensive and I would think they would want some collateral on the loan as well.

Some lenders do a periodic search of ownership records of all properties in their loan portfolio.
