Have not done any business with them but did have a sit down with the owners last June when I made a brief visit to Cleveland .. and was impressed with their knowledge definitely seasoned players in the space.

As someone who works in private equity/private credit, I can attest to the fact that they are major players among the large institutional investors.I work as a fund accountant and performance metrics are a large part of what I do.

Shortcut your learning curve by learning from experienced players who do what you want to do. 2.)

I believe a google search yielded the largest management players and a few conversations with them gave me a good idea of how everything worked, though things are hazy now as it's been over a year.

Avoid the national players.

Start sourcing deals and become a deal magnet.That's one option.....I'm sure there are many.Find out who the big players in your town are. 

There you will meet all the players in the game and you will get a better sense of how to move forward and make contacts along the way.
