Make sure that you're properly vetting your team members especially your agent that you work with - your investor agent should be looking out for your best interest and should be able to explain why something is a good/bad deal.

Hey Joseph, my understanding is that if you wanted to team up with an accredited investor though an LLC in order to invest, both members of the LLC would have to be accredited.

If you knew anything about my posts, you would know this.Regardless, I am just trying to protect the new members from the BP Press BS.

I was also considering the REI expo in February so maybe I'll see you there.You're a self-proclaimed novice but I think many other members of the community would agree that you're well on your way given your potential cashflowing rental and equity.You seem to have a strong position which would allow you to keep growing your portfolio in the next few years.I'd recommend diversifying your RE portfolio the same way you're diversifying with other investments (REITs, Stocks, bonds etc.).

I assume it’s not high enough that you or any family members want to take on the job?

Do most people get the property under contract in a single-member LLC and then assign the contract to the syndication LLC during the DD period?
