We could take turns presenting information, have a time set aside for tactical discussions involving our active projects.Potentially invite guest speakers, I know some private lenders who would do a presentations, maybe a lawyer or 2, insurance agents and real estate agent who would all be willing to share their expertise.

There are about 40 or so attendees every month, and the folks who run it (Andy and Paulina) have great speakers in.My wife also is indifferent to investing.

I expect to be at the Thursday meeting, topic this month is Note Buying with a national speaker. 

I attended the NYU school of real estate some time back, and they have guest speakers that comes from time to time to talk about what they do.

Don't choose an attorney because he's a good entertainer/speaker on stage at a real estate club or any other professional, or guru, for that matter.Obtain and check relevant references from those in your shoes.I know this doesn’t provide you with an answer, Matthew, but it might provide a bit more certainty in your choice.Jeff

I recently attended one of AZREIA's meetings, and one of the speakers buys from the auctions then sells to long term investors.

The speaker asked if anyone knew of a loan being called if the payments were being made.
