Funny enough, the house I made an offer on before the one I closed on I did go through multiple inspections: electrical, plumbing, and regular inspection and I ended up walking away from that one.

However, if you do feel you need some representation/consultation, it may be beneficial to make an offer which can include some commission for your agent.

If this scares off people great, less competition for the rest of us.

You need a proof of funds or a pre-approval to go with any offer so if it's hard money, they will issue a letter.
