For good measure they left the windows open in December apparently hoping for the pipes to freeze, but the water was turned off so you know.It was incredibly frustrating, but you have to keep your cool and follow the law.  

Just picked up a house that is a 6 week rehab, problem is the outside needs to the painted, and here in Wisconsin it’s unlikely that we will see a good 36 hour stretch above freezing to accomplish that.

As a builder I have to wonder what happens to the structure when that water freezes.

@Bryenne Korte@Lynne Jacob  Evening ladies... one word of caution on the HELOC route.. in the US Helocs can be called at anytime.. if the bank decides that the risk is too great they can freeze them and call them due. 

The already "broke" the contract most likely by letting it freeze in the 1st place.Time for some soul-searching.

Horrible weatherIf you mean that it doesn't rain every day, there are no tornados, hurricanes, freezing temperatures - yeah the weather is the pits.

@Gwen Fyfe they've had a "temporary freeze" on POS for about a year, but city reps still insist it will come back into play.
