Where I used to have 85-90% of my holdings in US companies many of which were based on consumer goods I have begun moving towards more foreign holdings.

Thanks Ryan and Hattie, I have begun to realize the hurdles of a non-disclosure state.

I do yearly leases and most of my tenants renew.After becoming a member of BP, I have begun to question what I am doing.  

We have been flipping properties in NC for the past 10 years+ and have recently begun lending private money to other flippers in the area.  

so some may be gun shy, I might even offer a year long locked in lease at the current price  for the first year to try and keep everyone calm or even put stager terms in (6 months/1 year/18 months/2 years).

I have a desire to support uplifting/encouraging art in Houston, for the art (music, performing arts, visual arts) is the heartbeat of the culture of a city, help propel the local church I am a part of to new levels of influence and ability to help (they have a large prison and drug addict ministry), and to provide future employment/contract work that can help establish good character and personal development in said employees.Real Estate/Business has the potential to impact on a city level what would be nearly impossible to do in the position of a W2 salary, even at higher levels in the corporate ladder IMO.This impact potential gets me absolutely jazzed.And so since November I have devoured books, burned through podcasts, employed my excel and access skillz, joined a local REI club, met up with local investors, read numerous BP threads/blogs, and now begun the actual deployment of action steps.The beginning of March has marked the real start of a new endeavor along side my engineering day job... heading down the Wholesaling route, seeing as deals are the must-have corner stone for this entire business. 

I don't have any malice towards her, but to be truthful, I have begun to feel  a little bitter.

I have just begun reading multiple books and guides regarding business systems and information about flipping and wholesaling properties.

But as for sitting on that amount of equity in my primary residence, I've begun to think about options for putting that equity to work in some way.

Since we've begun, the only items we have contracted out are HVAC and termite treatment.
