I'm not sure if in Washington I can Require renters insurance, but I want to strongly recommend it and point out that i will not be responsible for their personal items, temp housing etc. etc. etc.Can you send me a word version of what you use?

I have a few techies tenants that moved temporarily to TX,FL, so Cal, etc (and temp may become permanent).Also, the tech companies may move their employees to WFH mode, and that doesn't ensure that their employees will stay in SF, since they don't need to.

You knew what needed to be fixed on day one but you agreed to stay becasue they did respond to yourThe concern would be dishwasher and bath not working..The heat thing, 2 weeks is too long before it gets fixed unless the outside temp didn't mandate heat by law.

You could also reach out to temp nursing agencies about renting short term to traveling nurses.I had an "in" with the law school at the university next to the building I managed, and ended up rarely having to advertise anywhere else.

Never need to discuss it, but it's a just-in-case thing.I'd put one of those locks on the thermostat so they can't change the temps for the entire house.

My plan is to get a lock box installed around the thermostat so the tenants cannot adjust it once we agree on a temp so only I have access.
