Sub markets are hurting for sure, but the prime markets are still thriving. 

Indianapolis has a thriving economy and good population growth whereas Birmingham is fairly stagnant.

(only my opinion as I'm sure some of you out there have had success in the area, but, it was part of the reason for my decision to re-locate)  However, there are pockets of the city and surrounding areas that are "thriving" and (seemingly)worth investing in. 

I see where a thriving hotel had an unpaid tax bill.

I love and thrive on diversity. 

Probably looking in a satellite market to a very strong thriving primary market, this generally helps budget wise.

I think these are practical data points that excite me and keep my confidence that SD’s economy will continue to thrive despite the market correction.
