Typically along the lines of: cooking (meals are prepared or they have a dining room), cleaning (they don't have to clean their room/apt), bathing (if it is a fall risk/concern), and potentially laundry, etc.People often confuse this with a nursing home which it is not, or at least the level of care shouldn't be at a nursing home level.

There are 2 bed 1 bath units, the first two floors have large living room with fire places (not working and there are also large dining room and fairly spacious kitchens.

I get that your situation is different: I have thought about buying a motel like what you are looking at, and what I would do in that circumstance would probably be to (zoning permitting, etc.) put on an addition that includes a large common living room and a kitchen/dining space, and again rent to 1 large group at a time.
