UPS just doesn’t have enough year-round tourism traffic to make STR’s profitable when you compare them to highly profitable student rentals. 

Also tourism industry would be more booming as it's being hunted by two generations (baby boomers and GenZ). 

@David Coatney and @Alyssa Dyer - Central Florida is a great market, I've lived and invested here for the last 6 years and have been pleasantly surprised by the growth.Alyssa- it's such an attractive market for investors because we are grossly under-supplied on rentals and affordable housing, our unemployment rate is less than 3%, we have a well educated work force and the economy is no longer just based on tourism.

I’ve heard Desert Hot Springs is another potential up and coming destination for “cannabis tourism” apparently, has anyone heard about this? 

You should create marketing (whether print, tv, radio, Internet, FB) that creates inbound leads instead of spending time calling people who don't have their hands up in my opinion.

Many of us recognize that tourism is a huge part of our economy and we can't survive without it.

Just know that although the tourism has increased, so has the # of Airbnb properties, so you have to be able to compete somehow if you want to keep your occupancy high.

The tourism adds a lot of value to the local economy, so I don't see an outright ban happening.

I don't know how much tourism it's going to bring, but I'm hoping for the best.
