It takes 20 extra minutes of work for your LO, and we all know this can be done, so if you're speaking with someone that says it "can't" be done, hang up and call someone else - 20 minutes shouldn't be too big of an ask. 

A rent to own/ LO isn't a sale at all.  

I have always, always, always contacted the underlying mortgagee (lender) BEFORE doing ANY installment contract, CFD, L/O or Sub2.

@Derek Robinson I will  send you message shortly as soon as my bank commercial LO confirm she can work in CA. 

Once all of our mortgage slots are filled up, I might consider buying on a lease option, but we haven't had the opportunity, nor have I actively pursued L/O on the buy side.  

I guess I have a different take on this since L/O are my favorite way to acquire properties.
