I think this because title NEVER checks permit statuses for properties, and I would expect them to do this every time if it was something they are liable for (and a very common issue).With regards to the open permit . . . the sticky wicket with open permits is that a new permit will not be able to be pulled on the property (in the specific trades that have an open permit) until the open permit is closed out.
