I ended up doing plans myself for a renovation and all was fine -- but I had an ally at the building department and some experience in design/construction so that helped a bit.

I would think his discharge would have to go directly to the storm sewer system, as per permitting design, but I don’t know how that works in your area.If you could trade up to a better property, I’d certainly look at it.You might want to go down to the building dept and look at his plans, assuming it is that far along.

If the building is converted to condo in that time, the architect is still liable, however the big problem is they have now inherited a new owner which they never contracted with nor designed for.
