Keep browsing on BP forums - put yourself out there and talk with everyone.

I'd ask your realtor to pull up from MLS the last rents similar to your property around the region. mine did that and was very helpful, now granted i'm only investing in condos which makes comps easier for rental than multifamily. other option is just browse zillow etc around the block / region and see how much units at same condition/size are being marketed to rent for

Do some browsing through the podcasts, biggerpockets site and books.

I've been reading several books, listening to podcasts, and browsing these forums.

@Jake Morin hey I was browsing the forums for this market and really considering going this route.

A good first step for beginning to look into this is to browse properties online in neighborhoods and price ranges you are interested in and connect with a lender to talk about your financing options.
