Saving most of that profit for things we knew would in our future (like paying for our kids university education).So in an economic downturn like this I know that we have enough to sustain our lifestyle even if I was to lose my job and If my renters lost their jobs and couldn't pay their rent.But we have already done the contingency planning, we have it all written out and is prioritized.I preach to new investors all the time that life is a marathon and you need to plan accordingly.
