The movement lives  on I just got this email from my ex broker in Southern California   a large wholesaler "I'm not 1,000% this is legit but from a quick Google search it does appear to be.At any rate, I saw enough to convince me to send it out to ya'll.Homevestors or some other entity is trying to trademark "We Buy Houses" whichmeans any marketing or use of the statement subjects all of the rest of us to royaltiesor lawsuits.Apparently there is a petition to stop it.

So is buying a negative appreciation property (even if cash flow is positive), and yet I see this from newbies buying out of state turnkey properties every single day here on BP because people perpetuate (and have a vested interest in perpetuating) the absurd notion that you are magically somehow safe from any and all risk if you have positive cash flow day one, and equity doesn't matter, and if you factor in appreciation into your projections you are a speculator.Rent does not equal cash flow and cash flow does not equal profit.

Most BP members are too young to remember or know this.However when we had the first major run up in values in CA prime areas  SF bay Area Socal.. and i am talking late 80s were houses went from 150 to 450 in a decade or less.. there was a movement for many CA folks to just cash in and move to some little town in the mid west.. were they could buy a nice farm house in some 3 to 5k pop town out in the ag areas.. pay cash put money in the bank.. no crime lay back and live the rest of their life.

Correct the issue causing the unstable soil and it will limit future movement, hire a structural engineer to evaluate it, they will let you know if it’s a liability.
