So in my eyes, once the number of credit card defaults becomes significant this will probably mean more foreclosures are inbound.

Additionally, I don't have to worry about tenants boarding up windows when a Hurricane is inbound to prevent damage and expensive repairs.That said, I doubt renters are going to be swayed to rent based on having high end windows to potentially cut down on utility costs. 

You would think San Antonio would be lower in property taxes due to all the money that tourism brings in, as well as all the high taxes on hotels and other tourist things. 

Tourism and travel is no different.

However, San Diego typically receives a large amount of tourism each year which in turns feeds into various industries thus given the current situation the lack of tourism is damaging the industries that feed off of the tourism (Short term rentals included).

In addition, our beautiful beaches and tourism are flourishing.  

There are so many STRs that there is no longer any housing left for workers in the tourism industry (maids, servers, bar tenders, front desk staff, etc). 

Like Chatt has a huge outdoor scene, so we have insane eco tourism, we also have the fastest internet in the country so that brings tech folks to us, and we have an influx of manufacturing in the last decade and some change.

At a high level, if you've been following the headlines around the Hyundai news, GPA Expansion, in addition to the Hospitality/Tourism sector, there is a good chance that there will be more demand in the area with the # of jobs expected.

Tourism is booming in the Dominican Republic and some ares grow even more than the average.
