@Twana RasoulI’m in the process of doing my first deal and in addition to doing a lot of my own reading and speaking to others in the field, I’ll be hiring a construction manager to provide guidance to me throughout the process of my first deal so I can learn through doing it myself but also know I’m not making big mistakes (because I’m being coached by an expert.)I got this idea from a book “be your own house contractor: save 25% without lifting a hammer” it was a great read, but also offered this suggestion as a safety net.As far as the issue of a newbie spending his last savings on education, the way I’m going about it, this expense will be covered in the construction loan as part of the overall budget of the project.
