Im looking to invest somewhere  in queens and bronx only because thats the only neighborhood that im familiar to. and also im planning to live in  as well and i prefer somewhere close by since i work in manhattan.

There are always deals in every market at any time including New York, Manhattan or the Silicon Valley.

I listen to the podcast while driving to work in Manhattan, but again, don't get the chance to be online enough.

Most deals are done with exclusive listings some of which may be shared between different brokerages that have sharing agreements but don't expect to log into the Manhattan MLS and look up properties.

The higher you go in value, then typically the more the property is not appropriate for a rental (unless your in a place like Manhattan NY where a 1 bedroom apartment could cost that much).
