IF there is an error (this could be your misunderstanding) then the title company who prepared the closing statement made an error.....start with them.Note: someone prepared a prelim closing statement, hopefully the title co. who knows how to do it correctly.

All of the leases I have ever used have a section that breaks down utilities, and this is something that often can turn into a misunderstanding down the road.
