We do not use co-signors, but guarantors.If you have a parent as a {co}signatory to the lease (contract) they are a tenant with all the rights of a tenant - including access.

Why would you need a co-signer with all the things you say...good credit (probably need to be in the 740-780 range for best interest rates), no lates, no bankruptcies, etc?
