Yeah, I've often thought that some sort of trading platform that allows owners to swap time in their vacation rentals for time in other owner's vacation rentals would be nice.

The downside--when something is wrong with an order it's on you to swap it out, however, this has been rare.  

By then I should know if the tenant I inherate is a good fit for my property (he had lived there for 20 years) and either ask him to swap units or renovate his unit while he lives there.
