She is still paying her student loans... after 8 years we are almost done with them.  5% is a good rate, we've had subsidiary loans less than 5%, but these are already paid off.

But a problem with the parent/subsidiary structure (i.e. having 4 LLCs and a parent S-Corp) is that you are essentially placing all of your expensively created separate entities that you formed to maximize asset protection in one basket.

The larger tenant you would need to see if they disclose sales, their credit rating, if the lease is guaranteed by all stores or just a subsidiary, is there another location more optimal they can move to, are current rent rates in the leases above market, average, below, etc.Lot's and lot's of factors go into it but if you do it everyday they can be mitigated for the most part when buying and planning exits.

While you can shift so much to retirement plans, that doc will be paying taxes.Setting up holding entities won't help much for such income and only assist in income from the subsidiary entities.

You would want to make sure you have controls in place to definitively keep each of the assets and liabilities separate for each underlying entity.Another concept you might think of is actually opening the company as a legal entity with your desired name and then turn that company into the parent company and manager of all of subsidiary companies consolidating up into the parent.

Since the regulator (BoE) is pretty much a wholly owned subsidiary of the banks it is supposed to be regulating, I can't say I find this too surprising.
