In normal traffic, it's about an hour and 15 minutes from Galveston to U of H, more during rush hour.Another thing to think about is that the semester starts in January.

One month into the autumn academic semester and many of those "dives" are sitting empty, while we are full (we even had to turn students away this year).So, you can compete with the big boys ... just find a way to differentiate yourself (never do this on price, you will always lose) and you will do fine.

I would suggest taking a college level economics course, generally it's a two part class so a total of 6 semester hours.BTW, the gains you've gotten on your currrent residence, your former residence now a rental and the gains you "could have gotten" on the place you didn't buy; those gains DO NOT INDICATE THAT YOU ARE A SAVVY RE INVESTOR.

Figure out a 2 year degree or technical vocation that qualifies for the grant, then pace the money, usually can get 2 classes a semester part time year round, and you can maintain a part time job at least semi-related to your school vocation, plus some employers like to see you are active in education.
