Recently I came across the concept of wholesaling lease options and am extremely intrigued both because I feel that it would be an awesome way to enter the game with little to no risk or money out of pocket and it seems like it can be done in any market/economy/state regardless of where I live.I ask, what do you guys think about wholesaling LO as my first RE venture from Chicago?

Hi Joseph Bodek,Texas Lease Options have changed some laws in 2005 - 06, but the expert here in TX is my former LO student John Jackson who lives there, and does hundreds of them.RE: NC Certain areas of NC have magistrates that view LOs as a disguised installment sale, so they require a foreclosure instead of an eviction if they are given an option to purchase.

FYI for anyone checking out this thread: I talked to VRM today (7/11/12) and they said revised terms should be out in early August and they'll have LO's who can give more info/prequalify and they should be ready to lend mid-August.
