Those points have a much higher value when used with travel partners.Look at the Chase Freedom card too, it has rotating categories that earn 5 points be dollar (limited to $1500 in spend per quarter).

Usually, if you have reason to believe you got a bad appraisal (i.e. got screwed...it's common), you can complain to the lender, and if you have facts backing it up, the lender MAY, throw out that appraisal, and go to the next person on their rotational list and get a new one.Rules say, you or the lender can't talk directly to the appraiser before the appraisal is done.

Be sure to look at items besides radios too - TNCs (radio modems), power supplies, antennas, rotators, towers, boxes of tubes - especially those the size of a tennis ball or larger - those can be expensive high-power tubes, which we still use in linear (power) amplifiers.

Once you have enough properties you can just start rotating deadbolts between houses so you dont need to always buy new ones.
