Military spending may seem like a waste to some given that we spend 10 times as much as our nearest "competitor," but this needs to be balanced against the fact that we maintain a staff of very smart people to develop new weapons if the crap ever hits the fan.

Self-righteousness is the source of all evil whether it religious or ideology based.

The US does not have an absolute Freedom of Speech, ie. you cannot yell FIRE in a crowded theater, you cannot make threats against a high profile person, you cannot blackmail someone, etc...Morally, you should never use TRUTH as a WEAPON (telling someone they are fat just to be hurtful).
