They have 4 numbers stamped on the key.I use a battery powered rotary engraver to scribe the 4 digit number on each deadbolt and knob.Takes me 5 min to swap out the locks on a door.Put the used sets in a ziplock bag and rotate.I have a document in my Evernote account that has a system for letting me know which key goes to which house(not full address: not giving full details online Ha) and corresponding 4 digit key number.Even without that, I can walk up to any one of my houses, and find the correct key which are in numerical order on my giant key ring.Yes, I  keep my key ring locked up.
