Expensive appliances, they are, when compared to the standard USA dryers.But if these are the typical dryer found here in the USA, then the moisture is expelled through the exhaust vent; failure to properly vent these to the outside would lead to high moisture / humidity levels in the air within the unit - one of the things that could lead to mold developing.

I use Honeywell wifi touch screen.I get temp and humidity alerts and when someone is.not there I can adjust the temp.I also have a wifi water heater.

The weather since the hurricane has been sunny and less humid which is ideal for drying out the area and preventing mold from getting a foothold as no one's AC is running, unless you have a generator.

@DB BrooksWhile I am fairly well acquainted with older buildings - we have a couple from the latter half of the 19th century and more from the early 1900s - I do not know the particulars of being in that warm of a humid environment (it gets humid along the cost here, but only warm for half the year).You do want to look at the plumbing, though in a depression era house, I would suspect galvanized supply and drain lines to be more prevalent than lead (though they are possible).

This means that doors and boxes are going to shift and move as humidity changes, and paint finish is probably closer to a hand sprayer than a controlled and baked-on finish (Think rattlecan paint job vs. factory on your car)There's also the question of design.
