I tried to tell that to my Brother in Law when he bought 3 properties in Worcester County, MA in cash. 

They're selling a dream using buzz words like "escape the rat race", "be your own boss", "financial freedom", and "spend more time with your family".

I did point out that they are asking me to enter into a further 3-year contract with them when they are already breaking the terms of the existing contract, but they are so entitled and oblivious that the reality escapes them.
