If moisture is trapped under that slab it will wick up through to whatever is on top of it and you will soon have more mold issues.

If the condensation was heavy, the existing drywall can be saturated with moisture and that takes time to dry out.

Larger master baths Ill do in satin, semi-gloss on the rest for greater moisture resistance.If there is color on the walls I like flat white ceiling as the flat reduces shadowing which highlights imperfections, and flat white "lifts" the ceiling while darker colors "lower" it.

One of the properties is a 1 Br/1Ba that needs some improvement, there may be a moisture problem, it has a noticeable bug problem, last year there was a plumbing problem, yea...it needs some work.I am not sure about the classifications nor the current living environment of the other property, but my guess is it's 50/50 on similarity.The owner is offering my friend both properties for $150k with $5k down.

We have gas FA in our primary residence and electric FA in our family vacation property.I absolutely prefer gas forced air heat - natural gas is a good value in our area and forced air movement keeps moisture down thus reducing problems with mold.

That included gutting to the studs, joists, re-plumbing everything (tub and toilet were re-located), re-wiring, insulation, moisture-resistant drywall, new window, new basic tub, subfloor, underlayment, fairly cheap tile on floor and tub surround, sink/vanity from lowes, basic toilet, paint, etc.

I look for pictures (my San Antonio inspector actually runs a fiber optic camera down the vents to look for breaks that may cause trouble by dumping heat or moisture between walls or in other places that I don’t want) and descriptions.
