How do you all compile your list of pre-foreclosures?

I compile a list of properties to look at.

OMG, don't waste your money.For wholesaling, you can learn everything you need to know on this or a hundred other free sites.Everything, from compiling a mailing list to making your offer to assigning it or doing a double close.

It is best to contact the county clerk office for the county and or go/call to the courthouse where deeds are recorded and ask them if they know of a service that compiles and provides the list to the public for a small fee.In Houston, Harris County they use a law firm PUBLICANS.com there one can pull the tax deed sale property for next month at NO fee... but it is also available for a fee from a foreclosure listing service that compiles it along with the BANK foreclosures for about 40 a month... so you get both in a nice neat list!

all I care about are 'Solds'what are or have been selling at what price.Obviously the MLS is one of the easiest ways to find this out quickly.I do use a separate service that only operates for my particular county and they access all the records and compile the list for me.

My question here is has anyone tried to compile a list of the local "legal" newspapers that these sales are advertised in?

I want to learn how other have compiled funding strategies to pay 0 out of pocket.
