I've definitely made some mistakes here but I'm going to be very candid with the info on the deal, so please go easy on me haha.My brother and I purchased a property on a large lot in Culver City CA in 2020 that was essentially a tear down. 

In certain states, such as California and Michigan, property tax increases are capped by law. 

They started in CA.

My question to y'all good folks: Do you know of, or can you recommend, a company or brokerage that deals in property management in California that I could work for full-time and learn everything there is to know? 

Try pulling this crap in CA and see if the DRE has a problem with it.Interesting that COGO Capital references their CA DRE Brokers license on their website. 

I'm California-based where there aren't any real deals in my area, so I'm exploring Detroit as an alternative real estate investment market - due to the combination of it being a strong market and my having connections in the area. 

Usebramble out of California seem promising but they are not servicing Washington yet.

In Texas, the state I mostly work, despire me being in California, sellers in the "B" usually are okay with lower EMD/option amounts, i.e. $200. 

Can always sell later.If I was in Texas, California or Washington I would be buying up new containers and starting self storage.
