I bought it when I was still living in Australia where I grew up, so loans are a little different but I found a lender who only needed a small down payment.

Australia is a different case, thats just appreciating money that's sitting in land rather than the bankIn theory I say because things will always break and tenant turnover will occur.

So many friends that I speak to when I go back to Australia say they wish they could do what I did.

We use to buy Caroma toilets imported from Australia (where they have had to cope with much more severe water restrictions for a lot longer); they were expensive, but worked well.
