Multi-family is not "testing the waters"...Although you can start with less and get yourself a "pig" I would not recommend that as you are a novice and will run into problems with those.

I support the idea of helping people get back on their feet all while getting yourself potentially cheaper labor, but it really sounds too complex to make sense for a novice flipper.It sounds like you're trying to start a contracting company AND a flipping business at the same time.I'd recommend getting your feet wet with just doing a few flips first and go from there.

Thank you all. 1 - I thought that "comps" don't apply to multifamily buildings. 2 - If a novice should practice daily deal analysis, then by everyone's advice here I guess I have to visit a multifamily unit every day?
