What type of issues could one encounter?

Any suggestion, networking, issues /tips encountered by fellow international investor will be helpful to keep learning and make informed decisions.

You will likely find that the problems you encountered will be magnified when trying to invest thousands of miles away from home. 

We didn’t encounter issues except that they are expensive and do seem to take a little longer than usual.

An obstacle I may encounter is I have a high debt to income ratio because of the 3 mortgages. 

The major issue I'm encountering is that because I'm a 1099, banks require 2 consecutive years of tax returns evidencing income for a conventional loan.
